The people who pour into the Pikes Peak Center to see B.B. King on Tuesday night are working against a time schedule. At 80 years old, the reigning king of the blues won't be around forever.

As the last living supericon of the blues, there can be no doubt that King's inevitable passing will strike the blues community in its heart. The question for many fans is: Will the blues survive him, and if it does, what will it look and sound like?
