ENGLEWOOD - Denver Broncos kicker Jason Elam sometimes talks to the pilots before the team flies for a road trip. The difference between Elam and most people who want to see the cockpit is that Elam might be able to point out a thing or two to them.

Elam is a licensed commercial pilot. He is qualified to apply for a job as a pilot for a commercial airline, and might have done so had he not been working as Denver's kicker since 1993.
