Dobson says comment taken out of context Acknowledges Nazis, stem-cell researchers differ, but not by much

Focus on the Family founder James Dobson stood by remarks made last week comparing embryonic stem cell research to Nazi death camp experiments during an appearance Monday on "Hannity & Colmes."

Dobson, who gave a 15-minute interview at the start of the Fox News show, said his initial comments were taken out of context.

He acknowledged Nazi research on fully grown human beings was different than research conducted on embryos but that the philosophy behind both was essentially the same. Morality must govern scientific progress, he said.
