Adam Fitch was not a punter.

He was recruited to Air Force three years ago as one, but he never felt like a punter.

He was too competitive, he says. Too aggressive to be an afterthought.

At Campbell County High School in Gillette, Wyo., Fitch hated punting.

He was also his team's quarterback, and punting meant he had failed on offense.
