Ready everyone? It's time for a state capitol quiz:

The capitol of New York? Albany. Texas? Austin. Colorado? Fountain.

Fountain? Well, that might have been the answer if the events of 1888 had gone just a little differently. At the time, Fountain was running alongside Denver as a candidate for Colorado's new state capitol. But a train wreck in the early morning of May 14, 1888, kept Fountain from realizing its political dreams. The group touring the candidate cities was unable to visit Fountain because of the disaster.
