El Palenque lends Mexican flavor to family-style dining

In the summer, we at GO! get requests for recommendations for family-style restaurants - where you pass around plates of food, everybody helps themselves and you can feed a crowd without denting your wallet. Now we have a new answer to that question: Si!

El Palenque, the new inhabitant of the Inca-looking pyramid on North Academy Boulevard that once housed Chi-Chi's, offers booths for six and "banquetes" for any size family - and they're pretty darn good. Nothing fancy, just good.
