PUBS and breweries were today accused of ripping off drinkers by charging nearly Pounds 5 for a pint of beer.

A survey by the Evening Standard has revealed venues across London are selling draught beer and lager at prices well above the regional average of Pounds 2.72.

Topping the list of London's 10 most expensive pubs is the Havelock Tavern in West Kensington, where a pint of Hoegaarden will set you back an astonishing Pounds 4.60.
