THE formula that has brought England so much success over the last two years may be their only hope of levelling the series in Pakistan.

If Ashley Giles is unable to play in next week's final Test because of the hip problem that has plainly troubled him during the first two matches, then the attack will have to change.

But even supposing Giles can soldier on for another game, England must seriously consider leaving out a spinner in Lahore on Tuesday and bringing in another pace bowler.
