THE latest research has revealed that women over 40 are having the best sex of their lives. Not bad when so many of us were convinced we'd collapse and fall apart after our 39th birthdays.

And not bad when so many women are persuaded that in today's youthobsessed world - when the film star Scarlett Johansson is less than half their age, for God's sake - they don't stand a chance as they creep into their fifth decade.

As is so often the case, the researchers didn't need to do this survey. They could have asked me. I could have told 'em . . . sex gets better.

Look, I won't deny it - being 40 ...
