Portland thrill Historic third sprint victory for Halmahera

HALMAHERA became the first horse to win the Portland Handicap
three times with a course recordbreaking performance at Doncaster
yesterday.
Part-owner Niall Quinn, the former Arsenal, Manchester City,
Sunderland and Republic of Ireland striker, admitted that the nine-
year-old's emotional victory had provided him with one of his best
days in sport.
