A couple of years ago Sean 'Puffy' Combs was sitting aboard a New York to Paris Concorde flight that had just touched down at Charles de Gaulle. With the plane still taxiing towards its bay, he pulled out his cellphone.

Spotting his slightly unsure hand hovering over the keypad, a Puffy minion explained helpfully, 'You have to dial 001 to call a New York cellphone, even if the person is in France.'
