A 510-acre annexation by the town of Mountain Lake Park, approved
last year by the Garrett County Circuit Court, has been voided on
appeal to the state's highest court. The Court of Appeals found
Mountain Lake Park held its annexation referendum too soon, while the
neighboring town of Oakland - which earlier began annexation of 45 of
those 510 acres - held public hearings right on time.Assuming
Oakland's annexation process was properly completed-, Mountain Lake
Park would be barred from annex...
