The professor continued his series on the more obscure and neglected books of the Bible. This week: Obadiah, the shortest book in the Hebrew Scriptures.

Traditionally, the prophetic books of the Hebrew Bible, or the Old Testament, are divided into two groups. There are the major prophets, meaning Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Daniel. These books are great in length, particularly the first three, and sections of them are often read aloud in religious services for both Jews and Christians.
