Franklin-Belfort has fan appeal

DALLAS -- First came the Dan Henderson rematch. Then Luiz Cane's
name was tossed around. Ultimately, though, the Ultimate Fighting
Championship settled on recent signee Vitor Belfort as an opponent
for Rich Franklin at tonight's UFC 103 event.
The Franklin vs. Belfort fight, held at a catch-weight of 195
pounds, headlines a 13-fight lineup at the American Airlines Center
in Dallas.
Because the event goes head-to-head with the heavily promoted
Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Juan Manuel Marquez boxing pay-per-view
bout, the UFC has sweetened the deal for MMA fans. Although the
