LIBREVILLE, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- Gabon's Interior Minister Jean Francois Ndongou has rejected the idea of laying siege to the economic capital Port-Gentil following days of riot unleashed by the publication of election results.

"There won't be a state of siege in Port-Gentil," he declared on Sunday during a visit to the country's second largest city, where three people were killed in the clashes.
