A North Canterbury-based wool marketing company is expecting to double the amount of wool it sources from New Zealand farmers as it signs up new international customers.

The Escorial Company has announced a $100 million retail deal which would lead to its Saxxon-branded fine wool being sold as suits, jackets, sweaters, ties and scarves at United States retailer Brooks Brothers.

The retailer has 260 stores and specialises in high fashion apparel.

The Saxxon wool, sourced from 35 New Zealand growers, would be sent for processing to Italian fabric maker Loro Piana before being sent to the US ...
