Rodeos are still riding high in the saddle in Utah

It was 1934 and the Great Depression had made its way to Utah.
Ogden Mayor Harman Peery was looking for a way to offer residents a
little relief from their worries.
His idea was pretty simple.
Offer the people a party that reminds them they come from tough,
never-say-die ancestors who trekked across the country to settle the
Wasatch Valley. In other words, the first Ogden Pioneer Days
Celebration.
Part of that weeklong party was the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo,
which celebrates its 75th Anniversary this year. It's not just
