Public can opine on King plan?

NEW HAVEN -- City residents will have the chance July 16 to voice
opinions about renaming Dixwell Avenue after late civil rights
leader the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., but the City Plan Commission
has already weighed in: leave the three judges alone.
They are referring to Edward Whalley, his son-in-law, William
Goffe, and John Dixwell, three of the judges who, according to the
Plan Commission, "signed the death warrant for Charles I of England,
as Oliver Cromwell became the Lord Protector and the authority of
