Retired 1st Sgt. George Henry, affectionately known as "Rocky," of 20109 Bollinger Court, Ettrick, Va., departed this life on Friday, June 26, 2009, at McGuire Veterans Medical Center, Richmond, Va. He was born in the Canal Zone of Panama to Edgar and Glendora Henry.

George joined the Catholic Church at an early age and was educated in the Panama Canal Zone School System. He retired from the United States Army as first sergeant after 26 years of service and was an employee at Synoptic Systems Corp. in Petersburg, Va., for 17 years.
