Craigavon retailers to take Euro to attract more trade
|
A NEW marketing campaign is promoting Craigavon as a euro-
friendly shopping destination as retailers bid to capitalise on the
recent boom in cross-border trading.
Craigavon Borough Council, in partnership with Portadown 2000 and
Lurgan Forward, has launched a 'euro friendly' campaign, designed to
maximise the potential of the 2,500 retail businesses in the area by
attracting shoppers from the Republic keen to cash in on the weak
pound.
So far more than 90% of the retailers in Portadown, Lurgan and
Craigavon have signed up to actively promoting their acceptance of
the euro.
