When Frederick William Groves died in 1992, his collection of scratch model trains in West Devon remained with his son until he - John Frederick Groves - died last year.

Now the entire collection, some 150 trains, of these two generations of train buffs is being sold on Tuesday by P G & R J Pyle, Hatherleigh, together with all engines, tracks and a large collection of railway and engineering books.
