Modwena M. Huss 99, of 834 Stoneridge Place, formerly of 2098
Avalon Road, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at home.
Private family services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Nativity
Catholic Church, with the Rev. Dwayne Thoman officiating. Burial
will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. The Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral
Home, 1640 Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on Jan. 9, 1910, in Dubuque, daughter of Leo and
Cecelia (Lillie) Dolan. She graduated from the former St. Vincent
Academy, Dubuque, in 1928.
She married Clarence "Pete" Huss on Aug. 26, 1933, at St.
Columbkille's Catholic ...
