Once A KNIGHT Chellaston Players at the Guildhall Theatre,
Derby, until Sunday (call 01332 703828) and at St Peter's Church
Hall, Chellaston, from January 22-24 (call 01332 700821).
BACK in the middle ages, the only ways to become a knight were to
be born the son of a nobleman or be valiant in battle. Now it seems
you just have to join a drama group, sing a few songs and fend off a
seven-foot dragon. It's refreshing to find a panto that offers an
original narrative. The ever-accomplished Chellaston Players make
light work of local writer Chris Nixon's pun-laden script about a
young jester ...
