After we published a May Day photograph from Edward Street
School, Sheila Staniforth (nee Osborne) got in touch after spotting
herself on the picture.
She said: "I think my old friend, Eileen Harrison, would also
have been on the photograph."
Sheila also sent us one of her own May Day photographs from the
school. Our thanks to her.
Pupils of Edward Street School, Grimsby, who took part in their
May Queen festival in 1933. The May Queen is Madge Burnett, who is
seen receiving her crown from Charlie Mather. Others pictured on the
