Dorsey proteges swing into town

BLOOMINGTON - The last time a Dorsey band jump-swung its way
through the Twin Cities was more than a decade ago, when the Tommy
Dorsey Orchestra, led by 78-year-old Buddy Morrow, took to the stage
of Illinois State University's Braden Auditorium.
Joining them for vocal support the night of April 15, 1997, were
The Four Lads.
It's taken awhile for the equal time rule to be complied with -
but, at long last, here comes the friendly rival, the Jimmy Dorsey
Orchestra, along with its own supporting set of pipes, the Pied
Pipers.
