Herman Bailey Stephens, 94, of Pearisburg, Va., passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg. Mr. Stephens was born on July 28, 1914 in Honaker, Va. and was a son of the late Charles Edward and Edna Johnston Stephens. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Garnett, Raymond and Joseph Stephens, two sisters, Christine McGinnis and Mae Baker. Mr. Stephens was an Army Veteran of World War II, a retired electrician from the Celanese Plant in Narrows and was a lifelong member of the Green Valley United Methodist Church in ...
