Historic letters 'come home' to the Westcountry on Nelson's birthday ; An historic collection of letters will be unveiled in the Westcountry today, the 250th anniversary of the birth of one of the letter-writers - Horatio Nelson.

An historic collection of letters will be unveiled in the
Westcountry today, the 250th anniversary of the birth of one of the
letter-writers - Horatio Nelson.
The letters were written to and from British Prime Minister Henry
Addington, 1st Viscount Sidmouth, in correspondence with prominent
political figures of the time including Nelson, William Wilberforce
and George III.
They have been saved for the nation thanks to a pounds1.6 million
award from the National Heritage Memorial Fund and will be kept
permanently at the Devon Record Office after the reception.
