Anglo-Saxon burial treasure returned to Sutton Hoo home

THE BRITISH Museum is to return priceless Anglo-Saxon treasures
to the site of a longboat burial mound at Sutton Hoo for the first
time since their discovery in 1939.
The initiative follows three years of discussions between the
museum - where the treasures are the second-most-visited objects
after the Rosetta Stone - and the National Trust, which was given
the Sutton Hoo burial site near Woodbridge, in Suffolk, three years
ago.
The trust has built two new exhibition halls at the site, where
the items, which date from about AD 620, will go on show in March
