Fur's fashion rebirth brings counter attack
|
A HARD-HITTING campaign aimed at curbing a sharp increase in the
popularity of fur is about to be launched across Britain.
Billboard advertisements on behalf of the anti-fur group Respect
for Animals will go on display from Dec 13. Although Respect would
not disclose the contents of the campaign, it said the posters
would be graphic.
The group is responding to a dramatic rise in the sale of fur now
the fashion world thinks it is chic again.
Only two years ago, a stroll down Regent Street wrapped in fur
would have been likely to provoke a physical attack. Now it is more
