ON Thursday, hundreds of Christians will enter Jerusalem on a
"Pilgrimage of Apology". The men, women and children on the
pilgrimage, which is organised from offices in Harpenden in
Hertfordshire, will walk to the site of the Temple of Solomon, and
then solemnly apologise to Muslim and Jewish leaders.
For what? Not for abandoning the Muslims in Bosnia to murder and
massacre by the Orthodox Serbs, as the nominally Christian Western
powers did six years ago; not for frustrating attempts to rescue
small numbers of European Jews from extermination by Hitler in the
