End of the line for the Teifi's seine netters

MORE than 850 years of tradition will come to an end this week when the last seine net fisherman on the River Teifi in Wales abandons the practice.

Alan Giles, the third generation in his family to work on the seine net boats, is giving up the technique after catching only three salmon this season.
