I have at least one thing in common with Chelsea Clinton, Laura Bush - oh, and Chandler Bing: I am an only-child. More than that, my father has no siblings; and through the extended family, no cousins in my generation either. Until I started school aged five, my life was filled with nothing but adults - and I loved it. Indeed, I spent much of my childhood begging my parents not to provide me with siblings; kindly, they obliged.
