Win or lose, this weekend's AAU Raw National Powerlifting
Championships will be the pinnacle for 50-year-old Geri Waite.
The St. Joseph resident took up powerlifting only three years
ago, but has been fervently chasing the national spotlight ever
since. Under powerlifting legend Bob Boyles' tutelage, Waite may not
just compete at the national event Saturday. After training in 12-
week cycles on and off for the last three years, she may win it.
