One Nation Conservatism: it used to be that train of Tory thought which travelled on the rails of social conscience to link up leafy Home Counties with the "grim" north. But "one nation" is taking on a new meaning. The one nation which now dominates the thinking of the annual Tory seaside gathering is England.
