Letters shed light on tangled love-life of poet MacDiarmid

A new book containing previously unpublished letters written by Hugh MacDiarmid is set to change forever the posthumous image of the man regarded as the greatest Scots poet of the 20th century.

The letters contain revelations of MacDiarmid's personal life, including a unique insight into the acrimonious breakdown of his first marriage.
