Carbide merger gets mixed reviews: ; Employees worried about company's future in valley

Past and present Union Carbide workers voiced mixed feelings about the pending merger with Dow Chemical Co.

Some think the resulting company will be stronger, but worry about the future of chemical industry jobs in the Kanawha Valley. Several said they are sad the Carbide name and blue hexagon logo will disappear.
