Everglades Coalition Calls for Refocus on Restoration Mission

KEY LARGO, Fla., Jan. 16 /U.S. Newswire/ -- At its annual meeting in Key Largo today, the Everglades Coalition -- a consortium of 40 leading local, state and national organizations -- released a strategy report for re-orienting the comprehensive Everglades restoration plan under development by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Called "Strategies for Success," the coalition's report challenges the Corps and the restudy team to address some major environmental concerns in the Everglades comprehensive plan.
