Liberian Archbishop Michael Kpakala Francis Named Recipient of 1999 Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award

WASHINGTON, Sept. 28 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Liberian human rights
activist Archbishop Michael Kpakala Francis has been selected as the
winner of the 1999 Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award.
Mrs. Robert Kennedy and Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.) will
present the 16th annual award to Archbishop Francis at a Nov. 22,
Washington, D.C. ceremony. South African Archbishop Desmond Mpilo
Tutu, the recipient of the 1984 Nobel Peace Prize, will give the
keynote address.
