Authors claim Rudolf Hess had a double

WHEN Rudolf Hess, the Nazi Deputy Fuehrer who was second only to Adolf Hitler, parachuted from a plane moments before it crashed and was found wandering around on a Scottish moor the British Army could not believe its luck.

At the height of the Second World War, Hess had arrived unexpectedly in Scotland in May 1941 after baling out of a Messerschmidt he had personally piloted from Germany when it crashed 12 miles short of the estate owned Marquess of Clydesdale, the future 14th Duke of Hamilton, at Dungavel, near Glasgow.
