Currie Receives Nimitz Award from Navy League

WASHINGTON, April 16 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Malcolm R. Currie, chairman emeritus of Hughes Aircraft Co., was presented the 12th annual Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz Award by the Navy League of the United States Wednesday.

The award from the Navy League, a 72,000-member civilian organization dedicated to the maintenance of a strong sea-going force, honors an industry leader who has made a major contribution to U.S. maritime services.

Currie was honored during the Navy League's 1992 Sea-Air-Space Exposition at the Sheraton Washington Hotel.
