UK concordats 'will strangle' investment

THE Scottish coalition government was accused yesterday of agreeing to new UK rules which could "strangle" the work of a highly- commended inward investment agency.

Scottish National Party and Tory MSPs warned that Scotland could lose out because of the restrictions imposed by concordats - the power-sharing agreements between Holyrood and Westminster.

They claimed the documents could undermine Scotland's efforts to win new industries against competition from other parts of the UK.
