Rare Mackintosh works in auction

RARE examples of furniture made by Charles Rennie Mackintosh are
expected to fetch almost GBP 150,000 at auction in London, writes
Andrew Walker.
This oak side table and armchair, one of a pair, and will be sold
along with two stools by Bonhams.
Other Scottish items which will go under the hammer during
several
sales in coming weeks include a 17th century silver quaich which may
fetch about GBP 5,000, and a portrait miniature of James Scott, the
Duke of Monmouth and Buccleuch, said to have been the illegitimate
son of Charles II.
