KING James VI of Scotland, whose version of the bible is
frequently quoted for its denunciation of homosexuality, was himself
a promiscuous homosexual, a new historical study claims. Not only
was the man who inherited the English throne in 1603 at the Union of
the Crowns to become James VI and I openly homosexual, but such was
his debauchery at court in London that he brought the monarchy into
disrepute and paved the way for the rise of Cromwell and the English
Civil War in the mid-17th century.
