Cacti garden is a winner
|
Geoff Benge has won the Nelson Mail Garden Competition for the
month of February for the Best Dry Garden with his extraordinary
garden of cacti in Golden Bay and is the winner of a Wilkins and
Field Mitre 10 voucher for $200.
Second place was awarded to David Leadbetter with cacti and
succulent-filled planter boxes and third place to Sandra Carson with
her succulent and grass garden on the coastal highway.
The judges were looking for gardens where the owners had used
cacti or succulents or other xerophyte (drought-resistant) plants in
a planned way to overcome a particular design solution or ...
