WHAT'S IT WORTH ?: ; Chippendale's ideas embodied in chair

Q. This chair is part of a set of six chairs and a table with two
leaves. It belonged to my wife's aunt, who acquired it from her
mother, Elizabeth Sperry. My wife inherited these pieces. I believe
this set was made by Chippendale. - Chris R. Christoff, Los Osos,
Calif. A. Your chair is a very nice Chippendale-style piece of
furniture.
I say "style" because Thomas Chippendale, who lived from 1749 to
