Camp Virgil Tate celebrates 40 years of camping: Former campers invited to May 16 event

It's been 45 years since Virgil Tate gave his 57-acre farm to the 4-H Clubs of Kanawha County, 40 years since the farm hosted its first 4-H summer camp - and Tate's gift to the future keeps giving.

At an anniversary party from 1 to 4 p.m. May 16, all who ever attended activities at Camp Virgil Tate will be welcomed to a celebration of 40 years of fun and learning in camp. It hasn't all been related to regional 4-H Clubs.
