Yakima Speedway -- Tidrick's Second Good for First

When is finishing second as good as first? When that runner-up effort nets you a Yakima Speedway season title.

Yakima's Brad Tidrick, Jr. was second to Don Martin, also of Yakima, in Saturday's season finale in Limited Sportsman racing, but that second was enough to hold off Shawn Mathews' persistent challenge for the season title.

Tidrick's season was highlighted by six victories and he never finished out of the top five. He was top qualifier Saturday in 21.393 seconds.

Mathews was still close, trailing by 48 points, and he finished third in the 30-lap final.
