Selah Group Forms to Defend Library -- Selah Committee to Save Our Library calls public meeting Monday on Internet access

SELAH - Like many small-town librarians, Clara Eustis knows most
of the adults who come in the mornings and the kids who come in
after school.
But as in other libraries across the country, debate over
Internet access has disrupted the quiet predictability of Selah's
library in ways that have left even a 22-year veteran like Eustis
surprised.
"What I've gone through I wouldn't wish on anybody," said Eustis,
manager of the Selah branch of the Yakima Valley Regional Library
system. "I respect other's opinions, but it bothers me when someone
else wants to decide what I can read, look at or think."
