Kuwait Free of Mad Cow, Foot-and-Mouth Diseases: Official

A Kuwaiti municipal official said here Saturday that no cases of mad cow and foot-and-mouth diseases have been discovered in Kuwait.

Kuwait follows strict standards with regard to importation of animals that need sequestering for six hours as soon as they arrive here to insure that they are disease free, director of the department of food inspection at Kuwait Municipality, Jimaan al- Hajri, told a press conference.
