Interview: Brunei Sees China as Close Partner (By Wu Dingbao)

Brunei sees China as its close and friendly partner and also as a
key player in the regional affairs, a senior Brunei Foreign Ministry
official said.
Developing relations with China is very important as China, a
major political and economic power, has an important role to play in
the region, Shofry Abdul Ghafor, director of Politics One Department
of the Foreign Ministry told Xinhua in a recent interview here prior
to the state visit by Chinese President Jiang Zemin to Brunei later
this month.
